We came here for a birthday meal and it was amazing. The atmosphere and service, they accommodated everything we asked for and went above and beyond, by giving a complimentary ice cream with candle for the birthday girl. I had the most delicious food and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

fast and friendly service, we were greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant. the decor and atmosphere was lush, staff were very accommodating and friendly. we waited a maximum of 20minutes for our food to be brought out everything was boiling hot and tasted amazing. would definitely recommend to friends and family.
Visited last night to celebrate my parent’s birthdays. The food was delicious and of a high quality especially the tandoor chicken cooked to perfection and left the taste buds popping with the perfect spice mix. This sets them apart from other Indian restaurants in the area. It was very clean and the decor just perfect creating a calming ambiance. The service was perfect thank you to our server Lottkr who was attentive and friendly. They truly went over and beyond to accommodate our party. Thank you for our parents birthday gifts made it all the more special! Would highly recommend.
Sterling service and a great curry to fit. Highly recommend Empire, visited in the week day with my partner and had the set meal for two. The waiter was very, helpful and chatty. Food was great and can’t give it any faults. Seating was cosy and had a great atmosphere. Will visit again
What a hidden gem in the heart of Cathays! Easy Pre booking, arrived with very welcoming staff! The food was amazing! It was my husbands birthday and the birthday treat at the end of the meal wasa very welcomed surprise...he had initially chosen the restaurant ans was absolutely impressed by everything! Booked a table for 6 @ 7.30 and our table was ready. Drinks, Starters & Main Courses All turned up on time and were delicious. I’d particularly recommend the Lamb Bhuna which came with a particularly well marinated lamb shank. The staff were extremely helpful & attentive and the manager was friendly and knowledgeable. There’s a reason The Empire is still popular after 30 years. Lots of fun and Highly recommended.
